The Feathered Project was inspired by the strength and fragility that the Artist, Grier Neilson, saw in the everyday women around her.
Each had fought their own battles and carried their own scars, yet they continued to emit a luminescent beauty about them.

The Feathered Experience starts from our first contact, the construction of what we will create and the relationship we will form, to the photo shoot on location, and the final piece of art.
The Feathered process centres around empowering women by stripping away the bark of society’s expectations and constraints to reveal the inner goddess and self-love for who they are no matter how many roles they have to fulfil.

Celebration
The photo shoot itself is a celebration. It is so much more than getting in front of the camera. It is a collaborative effort that results in not only beautiful photography but also an awakening of the soul. Take from the strength, beauty and freedom it shows.

Why Feathers?
Life is too short not to love the skin we are in.
Feathered is about tapping into our inner strength and our femininity, our softness and power, together with our freedom, individuality, sexiness and all things wonderful about today’s women, while linking it to the rawness and capturing it.
Feathers represent all of these elements, so combining them with the beauty of the female form and the ruggedness of our unique landscapes provide us with a pictorial symphony that is this project.
